ABOUT FUTURE

STARS FOUNDATION

Future Stars Foundation (FSF) is a youth-focused, community-driven non-profit dedicated to empowering the next generation through a holistic blend of sports, education, mentorship, leadership development, and essential support services. Our focus is on youth of African descent—including Black, Afro-Canadian, immigrant, low-income, refugee, underserved communities, and youth from other regions, who often face systemic barriers to opportunity and inclusion.

Rooted in Canada, with active outreach in Sierra Leone and other Sub-Saharan African regions, FSF works across borders and cultures to uplift young people physically, mentally, and socially. Our integrated programs bridge cultural divides and provide access to elite athletic training, academic support, leadership opportunities, housing assistance, and basic needs such as food and clothing, while fostering unity, belonging, and purpose.

What sets FSF apart is our commitment to addressing the full scope of youth development. We don’t just run programs – we build purpose, belonging, and resilience. By collaborating with families, schools, coaches, and local partners, we create safe, inclusive environments where young people can discover their strengths and shape their futures.

From grassroots sports fields to community centres and mentorship circles, FSF is building bridges across communities, countries, and cultural divides. We believe in unlocking potential, closing opportunity gaps, and building a generation of leaders who uplift themselves and those around them – one life, one community, one goal at a time.

OUR MISSION

To empower youth, especially those facing systemic and socio-economic barriers – by equipping them with the tools, skills, training and support needed to thrive and succeed. Through transformative programs in sports, education, mentorship, and basic needs support, we help young people realize their full potential and become positive agents of change.

OUR VISION

To build inclusive, thriving communities where every young person–regardless of background or birthplace, has the opportunity to dream big, lead boldly, rise confidently, and create a brighter future for themselves and others.

Future Stars Foundation envisions a world where youth are supported holistically and equipped not just only to succeed – but to uplift those around them through courage, collaboration, and compassion.

About the Founder

Coach Bobson Sesay is a former international soccer player and seasoned coach with over 20 years of experience in youth development, sport, and community service. A proud former player for Sierra Leone National Team and the Vancouver Whitecaps (formerly Vancouver 86ers), he has dedicated his athletic and life experience to creating meaningful opportunities for youth facing systemic barriers.

After retiring from professional play, Coach Bobson transitioned into coaching and nonprofit leadership. He founded the Future Stars Foundation (FSF) to provide holistic support for underserved and immigrant youth through programs in sports, education, basic needs provision, and leadership development—both in Canada and across Sub-Saharan Africa, beginning in Sierra Leone.

Under his leadership, FSF has grown into a cross-border movement committed to transforming lives and building stronger communities. His work spans technical coaching, newcomer integration, academic mentorship, and the creation of safe, inclusive environments for young people to thrive.

Coach Bobson leads with purpose and compassion, dedicated to empowering the next generation with the tools, support, and belief they need to succeed, while actively bridging cultural gaps and fostering unity across diverse backgrounds

Why He Founded FSF

Bobson founded FSF to give back what he never had – guidance, opportunity, and support. From grassroots fields in Sierra Leone to urban neighbourhoods in British Columbia, he saw a common thread: when young people are supported physically, emotionally, academically, and socially, they don’t just survive; they lead.

Through FSF, Coach Bobson is helping youth:

Find their voice, confidence, and purpose

Break cycles of poverty and exclusion

Build leadership skills through mentorship and sport

Become changemakers in their communities

Access education, housing, and basic needs

His legacy is not just in trophies or teams – but in lives changed, communities uplifted, and futures transformed.
